Guidelines for Admissions - 2015 - 2016

1. Applications Forms for Admissions are being issued ONLINE from 2nd March 2015. For details of courses offered, click at the adjacent poster.
Application fees:
B.Com / B.A / B.Sc / BSW / BCA – Rs. 300/-
M.A / M.Sc. / MSW – Rs. 500/-

2. Application Forms should be downloaded from the college website ( and submitted ONLINE. Before filling the application online ensure the following :
a. Pay fees through the Payment Gateway connected to the application form. If you have paid the application fees through DD or if you have paid the fees at the College office, have the DD No. or the Receipt No. ready.
b. Keep ready a soft copy of the applicant’s recent passport size photo.

3. In case you are unable to submit applications ONLINE, you could do the following:
a. Come to the College along with a soft copy of the applicant’s passport size photo and marks card copies.
b. Pay the required fees at the cash counter
c. Seek assistance at the College for filling and submitting the application ONLINE.

4. Remember to note down the application No./ preserve the acknowledgement which will be generated as soon as you successfully submit the application online. The application No./acknowledgement will help you for future enquiries.

After the application form is filled and submitted online, save the document and generate the hard copy of the PDF application form. Along with the hard copy of the PDF application form submit the DD in original ,xerox copies of marks cards, caste certificate (if necessary) and three passport size photos at the College office. Only then your submission process will be completed. Catholics should submit baptism certificate along with the marks cards.

Procedure for Under-Graduate Courses

5. If the results of II PU/12th Std. are not announced, application can be submitted with the marks list of 11th Std. and 1st PU.

6. Interviews will be held from the day the II PUC results in Karnataka are announced. For the interview, the applicants should bring their marks given on the internet if the final marks card is not available.

7. There will be entrance exams for B.Com, BVC, EJP and BCA. Dates of examination will be notified on the website and on the College notice board. For all other UG Courses there will be no entrance exams.

Proceedure for PG Courses

8. If the Final Semester Marks Cards of BA/B.Sc. are not available, students can apply with their penultimate year/semester marks. Interview dates will be announced in the Website and on the College notice board.

9. There will be entrance exams for M.A. Political Science, M.A.Economics, M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication, M.S.W., M.Sc. Chemistry, and M.Sc. Micro-Biology.

Dates of exams will be notified on the website and on the College notice board. For all other PG courses there will be no entrance exams.

General Instructions

10.  Once the final interview is over, students have to pay their fees within 24 hrs. The fee structure will be displayed on the website and on the College Notice Board. Fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.

11.  College does not accept capitation/donations for admissions. If any such demands are made, it may be brought to the notice of the Vice-President, Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society or the Rector, St. Joseph’s College or the Principal, St. Joseph’s College in writing.
